Priyanka Gandhi Promises Smartphones & Scootys for Girls
The leader of the Congress Party – Priyanka Gandhi has promised free smartphones to all girls studying in Class 12 to help with their education & improve their security. The leader of the INC (Indian National Congress) in Uttar Pradesh also promised all graduate girls will receive an electric scooter as part of the party’s promises should the Congress be elected to power in the upcoming 2022 UP Legislative Assembly polls. The announcement from the leader of the Congress Party follows the party’s decision to give 40% of the tickets in the UP legislative assembly next year.
Priyanka Gandhi made the announcement via social media after she had met with a few school & college-going students. The Congress Party looks to go all out in their efforts to get power in the state of Uttar Pradesh as it continues to be one of the most multifaceted, crucial & the largest political battlegrounds in India. Currently, the Congress Party is not even a part of the leading opposition. Since the 90s, the Congress’ influence in the state has been waning as Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party & other parties have risen to power under leaders like Mulayam Singh, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav etc.
