The March cycle for JEE MAIN entrance exams 2021 were held between 16th& 18th March. A total of 6.18 lakh students had registered to appear for the March leg of JEE MAIN and 5.9 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The JEE MAIN is being conducted 4 cycles in 2021, one cycle every month from February to May. So students can opt to choose to appear for JEE MAIN in the cycle of their preference.
The National Testing Agency released the results of the March cycle of JEE MAIN on the night of 24th March 2021 – within a week of the date of the exam. In the March cycle of the exam, 13 students managed to score 100 percentile score which is twice that of the number of 100 percentile scorers in the February cycle. Out of the 13 candidates who managed to score 100 percentile there was one from West Bengal, Bihar & Tamil Nadu each, two candidates each from Delhi NCR & Mumbai while there were three hundred percentile scorers from the states of Telangana & Rajasthan each.
The JEE MAIN exam is conducted as entrance exam for all Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) and other centrally funded technological institutes/colleges. This is the first time JEE MAIN is being conducted in 4 cycles and students have the option to choose from 13 languages for the question paper – English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Assamese and Urdu.
Although there have already been 6 + 13 candidates who have scored 100 percentile marks in the February & March cycles respectively, NTA has not announced their rankings. The final rankings will be announced post the end of May cycle of JEE MAIN after taking into account the scores of all candidates from all 4 cycles of JEE MAIN 2021.
