The Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) test is the Chinese Proficiency Test in Standard Chinese (a derivative of Mandarin Chinese). HSK Test is the normalised language proficiency test of China for non-native Chinese speaking people such as foreign students, employees & non-resident Chinese. The test is conducted by Hanban – an agency under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. There are 6 levels of HSK test, the difficulty of the test increases from level 1 to level 6. Level 6 is the highest proficiency a non-Chinese resident can achieve in the HSK test.
