  • Registration for REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) has begun for 2021. The announcement has been made by the Hon’ble Education Minister of Rajasthan Govind Singh Dotsara on behalf of the BSER board (Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan).
  • Candidates seeking to apply for REET can visit the official website: rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. The deadline line for registration is February 8, 2021. Therefore, candidates who are looking forward to apply for this exam must fill up their forms on or before the given date.
  • The Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan shall conduct the exam for two different levels namely: First level is for the candidates who want to teach 1st to the 5th standard whereas the second level is for those who are willing to teach the classes from either 6 to 8.
  • Both the exam will be of 150 minutes carrying 150 marks. The Admit card for this respective exam will be available for download from April 14 onwards and the exam will be held on April 25.
  • A sum of 550/- has to be paid after the application if the candidate wishes to attend just one paper (that is, either level one or level two). If the candidate wishes to appear for both the papers (level 1 and level 2) then the applying fee is 750/-.
  • The candidate who holds Basic School Teaching Certificate (BSTC) is only allowed to sit for the Level 1 exam of REET 2021.
  • Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is a state-level competitive examination conducted to certify candidates for recruitment as teachers in the state.
  • The minimum passing mark in REET is 60 percent. For candidates of Schedule Tribes in scheduled areas of Rajasthan, the minimum passing mark is 36 percent. Candidates who qualify in the exam will be issued a certificate, which will remain valid for a period of three years, as per rules.
  • Revised syllabus According to REET 2021 notification, since 2011, a number of changes have taken place in the curriculum. Hence based on the NCTE guidelines, the new topics that have been included are geography, history, culture, art.
  • The exam will be conducted on April 25, 2021. Admit cards for the same will be available for download from April 14, 2021. The exam is being conducted for the recruitment of 31,000 teaching positions in the government schools of Rajasthan.

Step-by-Step Procedure to register application for REET 2021:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in
  • Step 2: Click on ‘REET 2021’ on the main page and wait for the redirection.
  • Step 3: After directing to a new page, click on the link that reads ‘register and Generate Fee Challan for REET-2021’.
  • Step 4: Register by entering the personal and educational details in the form.
  • Step-5: Do not forget to note down your username and password for future logins.
  • Step 6: Fill form, upload images
  • Step 7: Pay fee, submit.
  • Step-8: Download as well as print out the form for future preferences

Application Fee structure:

  • For Paper I: Rs. 550/-
  • For Paper II: Rs. 550/-
  • For Both Paper I and II: Rs. 750/

Eligibility Criteria:

  • In common, all the candidates who wish to apply for this exam must make sure that he/she has passed the Class 12/ Graduate exam or holds a relevant degree in education.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for Class I to V

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam with 45% or more marks.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per provisions of the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002.

  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

  • Must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for Class VI to VIII

  • Candidates must have a Graduate degree.
  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Must have passed or are appearing in the final year of 2-yearB.Ed. degree.
